HOW TO FIND AFFORDABLE USER-GENERATED CONTENT 

In this post, I’m going to introduce you to three ways to find affordable user-generated content. 

First off, we will start by defining influencer content and user-generated content or UGC for short.

WHAT IS USER-GENERATED CONTENT?

User-generated content (also known as UGC or consumer-generated content) is original, brand-specific content created by customers and published on social media or other channels. SO HOW IS USER-GENERATED CONTENT DIFFERENT FROM INFLUENCER MARKETING?

When you work with an influencer you receive UGC but you’re mainly paying for the influencer of having your product or service promoted with a certain influencer. 

 Influencer Marketing  = is a type of social media marketing that uses endorsements and product mentions from influencers–individuals who have a dedicated social following and are viewed as experts within their niche. (SproutSocial)

In short, UGC is a much more cost-effective way to secure content to use on your socials. As a result, your video might go viral and get in front of 1 million viewers but you’re paying for the content, not a guaranteed audience!

Twitter is alive and well. With the explosive demand for UGC, there are now UGC agencies and hundreds of creators who are active on Twitter! Tap into the #UGCCommunity and put a call out for creators. 

Search for creators on Twitter with “UGC Content Creator” or “UGC Creator” in their bio. There are many! Take a look at popular community hashtags like #ugccreator #ugcneeded #ugcwork #ugc

Gig Market Places 

All it takes is a quick search on Upwork or Fiverr and you’ll find loads of people offering UGC as a service. Be sure to vet them and ask them to see their portfolio before moving forward. The services range from $30-$300+ for different types of videos.
